2020 has been a weird year for sport due to the spread of Covid-19 pandemic. As a result, all of us are craving our sporting fixes currently. Here we have compiled a list of three sporting events which will be the hottest next year.
The Tokyo Summer Olympic Games
The Olympic Games was one of the major sporting events which has been postponed by a year. However, Tokyo is ready and waiting for the chance to see the superstars of sport in the biggest event on planet. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Tokyo are doing everything they can to ensure the Games can go ahead with fans.
The IOC have ruled out hosting the Games without spectators, so if it doesn’t take place next year, that would make you get the impression it would be delayed once again. Anyway, we all hope that there will be lots of precautions and systems in place to make sure the Games take place as planned.
Euro 2020
Euro 2020, or maybe Euro 2021 now, was one of the most highly anticipated sporting events on the calendar next year.
England will have the home advantage for key parts, which may be swaying the odds, with a large portion of games being played at Wembley, such as the Semi Finals and Final.
Games will also take place in 11 other countries, giving fans a wide variety of options to travel and enjoy it after a year of restrictions. It’s a tournament that football fans would be soaked up.
Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua
For boxing fans, the pandemic will be even more of a frustration which has potentially postpone what could be one of the biggest fights in decades: Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua.
While it would create the perfect night out in Las Vegas, Eddie Hearn has suggested that it will take place on home soil, and Wembley Stadium is likely to be the venue.
